Construction documents checklist (QLD)
The better your documents, the fewer disputes, delays and “surprise variations” you’ll face.
Core set (almost always)
- Site plan (boundaries, setbacks, services, contours if relevant)
- Architectural plans (floor plans, elevations, sections)
- Specifications (materials, finishes, systems)
- Window/door schedule + energy-efficiency documentation
Common add-ons (project-dependent)
- Engineering (slab, steel, timber framing, retaining walls)
- Stormwater/drainage plan
- Soil test / geotech (where required)
- Bushfire/flood documentation if overlays apply
Practical tip
Ask your certifier what evidence they want for each stage. Then build your “documentation pack” to match that list.
